Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
A fantastic opportunity to join our Real Estate & Projects group who advise on the real estate legal requirements for Australia’s and Asia-Pacific’s largest property portfolios and infrastructure projects.
This role is permanent part time, 3 days per week (Wed - Fri).
As Legal Assistant you will provide legal administrative services and support to the group, ensuring processes and systems are being followed.
This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your current Legal Assistant experience within a real estate and projects (or similar) group and get exposure to more niche areas such as planning & environment and renewable energy projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform administrative services including drafting, typing, editing and proof-reading letters, agreements and other documents
- Performing property and other searches (InfoTrack, GlobalX)
- Formatting documents in line with the firm style guide including cross referencing and converting from other styles and PDF
- Compiling large transactional documents into pdf with multiple annexures
- Opening and closing files in the practice management system and conducting conflict searches and checks
- Managing client and matter data within the practice management system
- Monthly client billing and ad hoc client reporting
- Ad hoc diary management
- Liaising with clients by phone and email for all administrative related queries
- Liaising with the finance team to manage incoming and outgoing payments in relation to matters, including investment of client funds and Trust
- Maintaining complete electronic files in document management system (iManage), including document version control
- Managing all incoming and outgoing electronic and physical mail, including printing and preparing transactional documents for execution and registration
- Arranging registration and stamping of physical and electronic documents with local land titles offices
