We are currently recruiting for a Litigation Legal Assistant position to join one of Toronto’s top law firms. You will have experience in civil and/or commercial litigation, have a strong client service focus, excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. You are able to work independently and collaboratively with the team in a respectful manner while treating sensitive and confidential matters with discretion. This is an immediate opening in Toronto, ON , offering a Hybrid flexible work model!
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and completion of various legal documentation including motion records, pleadings, notices, affidavits, affidavits of documents, court orders, and mediation briefs
- Prepare and complete all necessary correspondence and documentation
- Handle administrative details with respect to accounting, opening and closing files, docketing, and billing, etc.
- Communicate professionally with all internal and external clients
- Extremely organized and meticulous with follow-up and detail and in dealing with matters containing voluminous documents and urgent turn around

CORE SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of three years’ litigation legal experience
- Successful completion of a post-secondary level legal assistant or law clerk course
- Previous experience with CaseLines, Kofax, and Adobe
- Proficiency with linking cases & evidence into motion & application records
- The ability to be flexible to the changing demands of the job
- Microsoft 365 suite of applications
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Ability to problem solve
- Good judgement and decision making
- Strong interpersonal skills
