We are currently looking for a Legal Assistant to work within our award-winning Nursing Care Department.
Our Nursing Care department is one of the leading national experts in the recovery of wrongly paid care home fees; our specialist nursing care team have successfully recovered over £170 million for our clients since the department was set up in 2006.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate will have an excellent telephone manner, be accurate, a team worker with good IT skills to include Word, Excel and databases. They will have the desire and ability to learn and develop within this role.
This position would ideally suit recent graduates. Applications are also welcomed from candidates who have experience of working within a similar role.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The purpose of the role is to provide support to the fee earners by undertaking specific tasks in relation to NHS Continuing Healthcare claims. Duties will include:-

  • Completing administrative tasks to progress claims as required.
  • Co-ordinate new work to ensure all enquiries are dealt with.
  • Liaising by telephone and by written communication with health authorities/care homes/GPs/hospitals and clients in order to obtain copy records and/or collection of such records.
  • Reviewing medical records to prepare detailed chronology documents based on a patient medical and care records.
  • Updating and maintaining spreadsheets and other documents.
