As part of our growth, we are seeking a motivated Paralegal / Legal Assistant to join our practice, with a primary focus on corporate and commercial law. Real estate law experience is not required but will be considered an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a legal assistant or paralegal (corporate/commercial focus preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of BC Corporate Registry filings and procedures.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and legal document management software (experience with Unity is an asset).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

THE ROLE

This is a full-time role , offered under a hybrid work model that provides both in-office and remote flexibility.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with incorporations, annual maintenance, share transfers, and corporate reorganizations.
  • Prepare and file corporate documents (Name Requests, Notices of Articles, resolutions, transparency registers, etc.).
  • Support commercial transactions, including drafting and reviewing closing documents, due diligence searches, and PPSA filings.
  • Manage and maintain corporate records and minute books.
  • Draft correspondence and assist with document management.
  • Provide general administrative support as required.
