We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant for one of our clients located in downtown Toronto. This great opportunity will provide essential support to a Partner that specializes in personal injury. This position offers:

  • Salary up to $80K (commensurate with experience)

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Maintain daily calendar and manage incoming mail, emails, and client inquiries
  • Conduct new client intakes
  • Process production requests
  • Assist in preparing, editing and proofreading correspondence, letters and various court documents
  • Arrange appointments and schedule examinations for discovery and mediation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all case-related activities and ensure deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other team members to ensure effective case management
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and skills:

  • Post-secondary education in Law, Legal, or related field required
  • Minimum 3-5 years Legal Assistant experience (personal injury or medical malpractice preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in using MS Office and legal software (Primafact and Timematters are an asset)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also being a team player

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
