Description This role enhances attorney effectiveness by providing high-level litigation support and ensuring the efficient operation of the Probate Litigation and Family Law practice groups. The ideal candidate will be proactive, highly organized, and detail-oriented, with demonstrated experience in case file management, scheduling & calendaring, discovery support, and trial preparation. This position will be based in our Downtown Tampa office. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Manage and maintain litigation case files, including e-filing and handling voluminous discovery Draft, format, and proofread pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence Assist with hearing, mediation, and trial preparation Coordinate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel in a professional and helpful manner Schedule and calendar deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial-related events Ensure accurate entry and organization of all case documents in the firm’s document management system iManage Navigate court rules and filing procedures related to probate litigation, and family law matters Support conflict checks and new matter intake processes Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant in litigation, ideally within probate litigation, or family law Technical proficiency in MS Office 365 and document management systems, iManage experience helpful High school diploma required Proven experience in case management, discovery coordination, and trial preparation Strong knowledge of court filing procedures (both electronic and in-person) Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple matters Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion Highly organized and deadline-driven Team-oriented with a commitment to excellent customer service
