THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you a proactive and experienced Legal Assistant ready to thrive in a fast-paced, high-calibre legal environment?
Our industry-leading Projects, Energy & Infrastructure (PEI) practice group is growing—and we’re looking for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our collaborative team of six Legal Assistants and two Administrative Assistants.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 3+ years Legal Assistant experience
  • Experience supporting at least 1 Partner in a busy practice group
  • Ability to anticipate Partner requirements
  • Previous matter management experience
  • Previous billing experience is essential (Aderant Expert experience is desirable)
  • Strong time management skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication
Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

You’ll be the trusted right hand to two Partners and a team of senior lawyers, playing a pivotal role in ensuring seamless operations and delivering exceptional client service. This is your opportunity to make a real impact in a team that values precision, initiative, and professionalism.

What your day could look like:

  • Navigating complex billing processes and managing client-specific admin with finesse
  • Owning file management from opening to closing matters
  • Coordinating internal and external appointments for busy Partners
  • Supporting business development efforts and preparing for key events
  • Mentoring and coaching Administrative Assistants to help them grow
  • Juggling a wide range of responsibilities with confidence and care
