Our Firm is seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant who will provide support for multiple attorneys within its Jackson, Tennessee office. Responsibilities: Communicate, gather and maintain relevant information from internal and external third parties. Ensure proper indexing and filing of documents in files and case management software. Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents as requested by supervising attorney(s). Perform administrative duties for supervising attorney(s), such as scheduling calendar hearings and deadlines, and opening/organizing/closing case files. Other duties may be assigned by supervisor(s). Requirements Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 1-3 years of demonstrated experience in the legal assistant or paralegal field. Knowledge of real estate terminology, legal procedures and documentation is preferred. This position requires proficiency in Microsoft Office, excellent organizational skills, strong verbal and written communication skills, solid proofreading skills and the ability to work in a team environment. This position requires that the employee be able to sit for long periods of time and walk up/down stairs.
Responsibilities
The Legal Assistant will communicate, gather, and maintain relevant information from various parties, as well as ensure proper indexing and filing of documents.
