Description This is an opening for a legal assistant with at least three years’ experience working in residential real estate. This is a full time position (37.5 hours per week) with benefits. This position is fully in office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Draft and edit legal documents for residential purchase and sale transactions; understanding of calculating statements of sale. • Maintain legal files including general organization, index transaction documents, and organize files for closing and post-closing. • Prepare title commitments and final title policies. • Maintain and track schedules, deadlines and calendars. • Schedule meetings, conferences and closings. • Coordinate travel arrangements. • Enter, edit and/or finalize billable time and client billings. • Research and respond to inquiries and requests for information. • Provide other support as necessary. Requirements • Excellent word processing skills including Microsoft Word and Excel . • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members. • Ability to handle and adjust effectively to competing deadlines and priorities. • Typing speed of 50+ wpm. • Excellent organizational and communication skills. • Reliable transportation. • Client service focused. • High level of professionalism. • Overtime be required as necessary.
Responsibilities
