Description
Purpose of the Position: The Legal Assistant provides essential administrative and secretarial support to attorneys and office staff within a legal environment. This role is responsible for assisting with legal documentation, trial preparation, case file management, and client or witness communication to ensure efficient and accurate legal operations. Key Responsibilities: Draft and prepare legal documents, correspondence, and reports. Assist attorneys in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits and files. Input data into the Case Management System (CMS) and produce merged legal documents. Transcribe legal notes, maintain attorney calendars, and schedule meetings or court appearances. Create, organize, and maintain physical and electronic case files. Contact and coordinate with witnesses, clients, and other stakeholders as needed. Provide professional customer service and respond to inquiries. Perform general office duties, including filing (including e-filing), document scanning, and clerical support. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma or GED and two (2) years of work experience in a related legal, administrative, or clerical field. Hours: Full Time 8-5p Monday- Friday Salary: $33,837- $48,640 Benefits: Retirement, Vision, Dental, Health, PTO
