POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented legal assistant to provide essential legal and administrative support for our high-volume property tax law firm. This is a hybrid office position – Monday through Wednesday in office. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and a professional demeanor. This role focuses document preparation, data entry and management, and client communication.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Candidates without a bachelor’s degree will not be considered).
  • Two years of office experience, preferably in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and external parties.
  • Some legal experience is helpful but not required, as training will be provided.

  • Conduct research to support client appeal filings.
  • Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents.
  • Investigate facts to support client appeals.
  • Record and store client information.
  • Perform docketing for upcoming appeals.
  • Other tasks and projects, as assigned.
