Responsibilities

THE ROLE:

With our in-house legal team growing, we’ve got a brand new role to join us as a Legal Assistant working alongside the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary in a small but highly influential team to help drive compliance and governance across our regulated and non-regulated businesses.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Assist with Board and Committee services, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Ensure statutory compliance by timely submission of filings.
  • Process and file data protection renewals and other licenses for Group companies.
  • Manage file systems, both electronic and paper, maintaining documents accurately.
  • Handle file opening and closing procedures, ensuring compliance.
  • Maintain various group databases including contracts, intellectual property, and property.
  • Manage corporate inboxes efficiently.
  • Oversee engagement and invoicing process for external legal and professional advisors.
  • Maintain precedents, policies, and procedures.
  • Prepare reports and presentations as needed.
  • Monitor compliance against the Legal Services Compliance Handbook.
  • Conduct research and assist with ad hoc projects.
