Description:
Cavendish Maxwell is seeking a highly motivated and skilled lawyer with 2-3 years of Post-Qualified Experience to join our in-house legal team in Dubai. Reporting to and supporting the Legal Counsel, this role is essential in providing legal expertise for our operations in the real estate sector. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in the UAE or GCC region, and familiarity with the real estate industry would be highly advantageous. Arabic-speaking and writing skills are desirable.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- A law degree from a recognised university.
- 2-3 years of Post-Qualified Experience in the UAE or GCC region.
- Experience in the real estate sector is highly advantageous.
- Proven ability to handle corporate and commercial legal matters.
- Admission to practice law in a recognised jurisdiction.
- Arabic language skills (speaking and writing) are desirable.

Responsibilities:
- Support the Legal Counsel in delivering high-quality legal advice to internal stakeholders on corporate, commercial, compliance, and real estate matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents in English (and Arabic, if applicable) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Review Requests for Proposals to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and facilitate quick turnarounds to meet tight submission deadlines.
- Conduct legal research and provide practical, business-focused advice on a variety of legal and regulatory issues.
- Manage the company’s legal document management system, ensuring it remains up-to-date and providing training to department administrators as necessary.
- Assist with dispute resolution efforts, including HR-related matters, and liaise with external legal counsel where necessary.
- Liaise with external counsel, government authorities, and regulators as needed.
- Support the company’s expansion plans and special projects, including preparing legal documentation for entity establishment and joint ventures.
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes to ensure the organisation remains compliant.
- Assist the Legal Counsel with delivering training and updates to internal teams on relevant legal developments.
