JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Legal Cashier to join our team. As a Legal Cashier, you will be responsible for managing the financial transactions of our law firm. This includes processing payments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills and familiarity with legal billing software.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Proven experience as a Legal Cashier or similar role
• Proficient in using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage
• Familiarity with legal billing software is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

DUTIES:

• Process client payments and allocate funds to the appropriate accounts
• Prepare and submit invoices to clients
• Monitor and reconcile bank statements
• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
• Assist with month-end and year-end financial reporting
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to ensure accurate billing
• Handle petty cash and expense reimbursements
• Assist with accounts payable duties as needed
• Stay up-to-date with relevant financial regulations and compliance requirements
