JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join our Firm in Worcester. The successful candidate will be fully experienced and have full knowledge and understanding of Accounts within a law firm and a full understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules. They will be responsible for managing financial transactions within a legal environment, ensuring accuracy and compliance with legal accounting standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of financial records and supporting the overall financial operations of the firm.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a legal or professional services environment is preferred.
  • Proficiency in accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsibilities
  • Process and record all financial transactions, including client payments and disbursements.
  • Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payment of invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of all transactions
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports and reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with legal accounting regulations and internal policies.
  • Liaise with clients regarding billing inquiries and payment issues.
