LA has been practicing in Brevard County for over 46 years and serves companies throughout the state of Florida. Our staff is dedicated solely to pursuing efficient recovery of bad debts for our clients.    Position Overview: The Legal Clerical Support role provides administrative and clerical assistance to attorneys, paralegals, and process servers within a high-volume debt collection law firm.    This position focuses on coordinating and managing process service activities, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations, and maintaining accurate records throughout the litigation process. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced legal environment.   Key Responsibilities: * Prepare and process legal documents including summonses, complaints, affidavits of service, and motions for filing and service. * Coordinate the assignment and tracking of process service orders to ensure timely and compliant service of legal documents. * Communicate daily with process servers, clients, and court personnel to confirm case status, service completion, and filing deadlines. * Review affidavits and proof of service for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with court requirements before submission. * Maintain and update case management systems with service status, notes, and document uploads. * Assist with e-filing and court submissions for served cases. * Prepare correspondence, reports, and internal tracking logs as needed. * Support attorneys and paralegals with administrative tasks such as document scanning, filing, and data entry. * Ensure confidentiality and adherence to all firm policies, FDCPA, and state legal requirements.   Qualifications/Requirements: * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or paralegal coursework preferred. * 2+ years of administrative or legal experience, preferably in a law firm or debt collection environment, preferred. * Familiarity with legal terminology, court procedures, and collection law practices is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software * Excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Strong time management and problem-solving abilities. * Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.   Work Environment This position is a full-time in-house position working Monday through Friday, 8a-5pm at our firm in Cocoa, FL. The work environment is fun, friendly and positive with a diverse pool of employees. This is not a remote position.   Compensation Overview This is an hourly, non-exempt position. Pay is on a bi-weekly cycle.
