Job responsibilities: - Provide expert legal advice and guidance on compliance matters to ensure the company adheres to all applicable laws and regulations. - Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs and policies to mitigate legal risks and enhance operational efficiency. - Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential compliance issues and recommend corrective actions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of business operations with legal and regulatory requirements. - Monitor changes in legislation and industry standards, and update company policies accordingly. - Manage and oversee internal investigations related to compliance breaches and report findings to senior management. - Prepare and deliver training sessions to employees on legal and compliance topics to promote awareness and understanding. - Liaise with external legal counsel and regulatory bodies as necessary to address complex legal matters. Job requirements: - Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in legal and compliance roles, preferably within a corporate environment. - Strong knowledge of corporate law, regulatory compliance, and industry-specific regulations. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. - High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity. - Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
