Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Intern to support our Legal and Compliance functions in Malta. This long-term internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in corporate law, AML/KYC processes, and compliance operations across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities Assist with KYC tasks, including document collection, screening, and verification. Support AML due diligence and background checks under the guidance of the Compliance Officer. Help review and organize legal and corporate documents, including NDAs and partner agreements. Maintain and update SharePoint and contract inventories, ensuring proper filing and accuracy. Liaise with corporate service providers, regulators, and internal teams as required. Use internal tools (e.g., JIRA, KYC platforms) to track tasks and ensure compliance procedures are followed. Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Law, Compliance, Finance, or a related field. Strong interest in AML/KYC regulations and corporate governance. Excellent attention to detail and communication skills in English. Comfortable using Microsoft Office and eager to learn document management tools. Proactive, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The intern will assist with KYC tasks, support AML due diligence, and help review legal documents. They will also maintain contract inventories and liaise with various stakeholders.
