Legal Coordinator   The Legal Coordinator supports the medico-legal department by coordinating legal workflows, managing physician involvement in independent medical exams (IMEs) and medical record reviews (MRRs), and ensuring timely, accurate handling of all case-related activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to effectively prioritize competing deadlines in a fast-paced healthcare environment.   Key Responsibilities * Coordinate and manage incoming medico-legal cases, primarily IMEs and MRRs * Conduct and document conflict checks to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements * Schedule and manage physician calendars for legal work, including IMEs, MRRs, depositions, and trial testimony * Collect and track required case documentation, including purpose letters from attorneys or paralegals * Track and manage medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation for each case * Monitor case progression to ensure all required materials are received, reviewed, and completed within deadlines * Coordinate logistics for depositions, hearings, and trial appearances as needed * Track payments, billing, and case status to support accurate financial and operational reporting * Serve as a liaison between attorneys, paralegals, physicians, and internal teams * Maintain organized and accurate records of all medico-legal cases and related activities * Ensure all work is completed in compliance with organizational policies and applicable regulations ---------------------------------------- Required Skills & Competencies * Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy * Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and case demands * Ability to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment * Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills * Professional written and verbal communication skills * High level of discretion when handling confidential and sensitive information ---------------------------------------- Customer Service Expectations * Provide exceptional customer service to attorneys, physicians, and other contacts * Maintain professionalism in all interactions, including time-sensitive or high-pressure situations * Ensure timely and clear communication regarding case status and requirements
