As Head of Data Privacy, you will lead the global strategy for how Elekta complies with applicable data privacy laws and regulations across the different regions. The Head of Data Privacy will be responsible for the development and continuous improvement of Elekta’s Global Data Privacy Program to ensure it covers all relevant local requirements globally. Elekta’s Data Privacy function is responsible for providing data privacy-related support and assistance to the Elekta Group, including more than twenty subsidiaries. The work is carried out in close cooperation with the other functions within the company and active participation in the day-to-day business of all Elekta entities. Key Responsibilities Oversee the development, implementation, education, monitoring and continuous improvement of the core components of an effective global data privacy program, including but not limited to: · privacy-related policies, procedures, and standards · robust investigation procedures designed to respond to customer inquiries and potential violations · education, training, and communications · playing a key role in responding to privacy and security incidents and data breach investigations. · on-going privacy risk assessments and data mapping · Provide guidance on complex use cases involving personal and other data, taking into account consent, notice, use, transparency and systems controls. · Work with IT, Security and other teams to ensure incorporation of privacy by design approach into data processing procedures. · Support the Regional Data Protection Officers in developing resources such as guidelines, procedures, checklists and templates to support the organization’s data privacy compliance Your Expertise · The ideal candidate has a university degree in Law or another relevant subject that supports the ability to combine fluency in relevant regulations with high-tech products and services. · Minimum of 8 years PQE with exposure to data privacy matters and supporting a business as an in-house advisor ideally from medical device, pharma & biotech or life science companies. · Expertise in global data protection regimes and requirements · Experience in the design and implementation of compliance focused programs, metrics and reporting. · Ability to work independently, and handle both small and large matters with equal effectiveness and enthusiasm.
