THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Legal Costs Fee Earner Assistant to join our team. This entry-level role is ideal for someone looking to launch their legal career, especially within costs law and litigation support. You’ll receive hands-on training from experienced professionals and gain real insight into bill drafting, court documents, and legal costs negotiation.

EDUCATION

  • Minimum: 3 A-Levels (Grades A–C or equivalent)
  • Desirable: Law degree or a related field (not essential – we value enthusiasm and aptitude just as highly)
Responsibilities
  • Support fee earners with the preparation and drafting of legal cost documents, including court applications
  • Draft straightforward costs schedules
  • Assist in negotiating legal costs with opposing parties
  • Manage case files, ensuring documents are accurate and up to date
  • Communicate effectively with clients, solicitors, and stakeholders
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support including meeting coordination, file management, and correspondence
  • Learn and apply relevant legal and regulatory standards
