POSITION DESCRIPTION:

CGI is looking for an experienced and dynamic Legal Counsel to join our global in-house Corporate Legal team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll work both independently and collaboratively with international colleagues, advising on some of CGI’s most significant legal mandates.

Responsibilities

YOUR FUTURE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Advise on and manage complex corporate restructurings, M&A transactions, divestitures, and corporate governance activities with a focus on UK &European jurisdictions.
Support integration activities following M&A transactions.
Draft, review, and negotiate corporate agreements and supporting legal documentation.
Provide clear legal advice to internal stakeholders regarding risk, compliance, and strategy.
Collaborate with international teams, supporting CGI’s global operations and ensuring compliance with corporate laws across UK & Europe.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE:

Qualified lawyer with corporate/M&A experience at a leading law firm or in-house within a multinational company.
Able to exercise sound judgment, prioritise effectively, and deliver under tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, drafting, and communication skills.
French language skills would be an advantage, though not essential.
