We are a growing team looking for a Legal Counsel Commercial in the Legal department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our Berlin office.
We are looking for an entrepreneurial, hands-on senior lawyer to provide strategic counsel across the organization and elevate our legal support. This is a unique opportunity to join a successful business with a strong brand and IPO ambitions. The role will include support in all aspects of business law and any inquiries related to transport and (international) commercial law - alongside a team of several business law professionals. You will cover both long-term strategic aspects as well as tackle day-to-day business operations.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR …

• Fully qualified lawyer with 4+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel.
• Experience in international transport and logistics is a plus
• Ability to work with others and independently
• Critical thinking and multitasking ability
• Problem-solving mindset
• Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with all departments across different countries and with external parties
• Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and decision-makers within the sennder Group
• Fluency in English; fluency in German is preferred but not required. Other languages are a plus

• Striving for continuous improvement and seeking additional responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various departments on diverse legal issues
• Assess legal implications of business initiatives, contracts, and policies; oversee and participate in the negotiation, drafting, and review of various commercial agreements
• Ensure contracts align with the organization’s legal and business objectives, proposing risk mitigation strategies
• Lead litigation cases, managing external counsel involvement
• Interface and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management, regulators, courts, government agencies, and external legal counsel
• Stay informed about legal developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting the organization
