INTERIM CONSUMER CREDIT / RETAIL FINANCE / FINTECH LAWYER

Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)

THE OPPORTUNITY

Accuflex is seeking an experienced Consumer Credit / Retail Finance Lawyer to provide interim support to a global financial services provider in its UK Products Team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a lawyer with strong regulatory and transactional experience to join a high-profile in-house legal team, supporting a wide range of credit card and retail finance matters.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

We are seeking a lawyer with:

  • At least 4 years PQE with recent experience in consumer credit and/or retail finance law
  • A strong background in advising on regulatory frameworks, particularly credit cards or other running-account credit facilities
  • Solid experience with both transactional matters and regulatory advisory work
  • In-house financial services or top-tier private practice experience desirable
  • The ability to start in September 2025 and commit through to December 2025
Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support the UK Products Team on legal and regulatory issues relating to consumer credit, retail finance, and third-party supplier relationships. Work will include:

  • Advising on issues arising from customer credit card operations and third-party supplier arrangements
  • Providing legal input on transactional and services agreements within the retail finance context
  • Advising on regulatory matters, including the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and broader payments regulatory regimes (UK and international)
  • Supporting the business in managing regulatory risk while enabling commercial outcomes
