    As Legal Counsel supporting Da Vinci’s activities, you will work closely with the trading teams and be a key player in keeping high standards for legal advice. This role reports to the Head of Legal and Compliance.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Legal degree in the EU, UK or United States of America; experience in private practice is preferred
  • 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience, preferably working in a legal function in a regulated financial services firm or having advised financial services firms as external lawyer
  • Experience with contract advising and life-cycle (including drafting from scratch, commercial negotiations and managing business and counterparty expectations)
  • Experience with corporate housekeeping matters, such as board and shareholder resolutions and meetings and managing stakeholder engagement
  • Affinity or experience with setting up entities in various jurisdictions, corporate restructuring and (tax) optimisation projects
  • Responsible, “go the extra mile” mentality, capable of balancing between the depth of legal matters and a practical approach where needed
Responsibilities
  • Laws and regulations: Anticipate and advise on upcoming legislation relevant to Da Vinci’s activities
  • Contract management: Advise on legal matters relevant to the business activities, including review and advise on contracts and act as a trusted advisor to the business
  • Corporate matters: Support on all corporate housekeeping matters and stakeholder engagement
  • Corporate structuring: Support on various corporate optimisation projects, setting up entities and coordinating with internal and external advisors and stakeholders
  • Cross functional engagement: Work together with other departments such as Risk, Finance, Accounting and Tax to achieve a streamlined and efficient approach on all cross functional projects within the organisation
  • Legal risk awareness: Be an advocate of the Legal Department within the organisation and create awareness on legal matters
