Description

QUOTE

This is a great opportunity to help shape the contracts and legal direction for a leading tech-driven energy trading company while gaining in-depth knowledge of the fast-paced market dynamics.

MEET YOUR TEAM

You will join the Legal team, where our role is to identify and mitigate legal risks, especially in contract drafting and negotiation. For that reason, we work closely with stakeholders across the organisation, from trading teams to our senior leadership team, to understand our business and products, provide input for decision-making and help develop a legal framework.
We are a team of seven committed, proactive and experienced legal counsels who collaborate extensively with the organisation and external legal advisers across the 40+ markets where we operate around the globe. And one thing is for sure: no two days are the same in the energy market, so we are always looking for ways to stay ahead. We value close collaboration in the team, and we always make sure to have fun as we go along.

BUT ENOUGH ABOUT US… OVER TO YOU!

As you will be working on legal matters in a complex business, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who enjoys taking responsibility and challenging the status quo when needed. We also picture you as the kind of person who sees opportunities where others see problems – and who turns them into practical, workable solutions that move things forward.

We also imagine that you:

  • hold a relevant educational background in law
  • are a recent graduate ready to kickstart your career or already have some years’ experience in a similar position, either with a law firm or as an in-house counsel – we will tailor the role to your profile
  • are proficient in English – both written and spoken. German skills may be useful in the role but are not required

Please note that it is not a requirement to have prior knowledge of the energy industry to enter this role.

Responsibilities
  • giving the organisation relevant input for decision-making around current and new business opportunities
  • proactively supporting the organisation in assessing legal risks and value in existing and new contracts
  • drafting and negotiating contract
