Job Description: Data Wow is seeking a versatile Legal Counsel to serve as a strategic dual-threat for our organization. In this role, you will act as a high-level legal advisor for our clients on Thailand’s Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) while simultaneously serving as Data Wow’s legal lead. You will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s interests through rigorous contract review and ensuring our operations remain compliant with ISO 27001 and ISO 27701. Responsibilities: Develop and implement data protection and privacy policies to ensure compliance with the applicable data privacy laws and regulations Provide legal advice in terms of data privacy laws and regulations to support new product launches and initiatives Conduct privacy impact assessments to embed privacy requirements into business processes and operations Analyze non-compliance loopholes in terms of data privacy laws and regulations in business practices and provide guidance to mitigate risks and close the gaps Execute data mapping, access management and data sharing policies Design and conduct appropriate training and awareness activities to secure policy adherence and awareness Review an agreement and identified proactive solutions to eliminate or mitigate risks by revising the obligations in such agreement before entering into any business transactions Ensure that business activities are conducted in conformity with all applicable laws, regulations, internal policies and procedures Monitor internal processes and business operations to be in compliance with ISO 27001, 27701, and related applicable laws in Thailand Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in law 1-3 years proven experience at a law firm and/or work experience as an in-house lawyer involving in privacy and data protection related projects Good knowledge in PDPA in Thailand Highly analytical with a strong attention to details and a pragmatic approach Able to organize and prioritize work in a dynamic and complex environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements Able to work under pressure and multi-tasking environment Eager to learn, open-minded and dynamic Good verbal and written English communication skills Competitive Salary Flexible working hour Work from home Group health insurance You pick your equipment (Mac / Windows) Grab Food and Grab Transportation Free snacks & drinks (at the office) Pay 100% for Job-related Training Courses Free language course and certificate fee
