We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position to be based in Solna, Sweden. The position reports to Head of Legal, DHL Nordic and Baltic Region.

Responsibilities:

  • Advise and counsel functional or operational area managers to ensure current or proposed business activities, policies, practices and transactions comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Review legal analyses and technical reports to recommend senior management on how to respond to legal issues or proposed changes in laws and regulations
  • Review and approve legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters (for example loans, leases, purchase agreements, acquisitions, divestitures, employment contracts) to protect the organization’s legal and business interests
  • Represent the organization in complex, controversial, significant, or specialized legal proceedings before courts (with external legal counsel), government agencies, or other authorities to protect organization’s interests
  • Prepare or review complex materials for external legal counsel so that they are well-prepared to represent the organization in legal proceedings
  • Coach less experienced legal staff and help them resolve problems
  • Conduct Customer and Supplier Contracting and Negotiations, work associated with Corporate law, Real Estate law and other areas of law as expected from an in house legal function, Legal Research & Document Drafting, and Legal Records Management.
