Job Description We are seeking a junior legal counsel to provide expert legal support across the Hassell group. In this role, you will work closely with the Company Secretary / General Counsel and Senior Legal Counsel on a variety of legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop your career within a supportive team. Key responsibilities: Drafting, Reviewing, and Negotiating: Consultancy and sub consultancy agreements Confidentiality and NDA agreements Project contracts/service agreements Deeds of novation Certificates Joint venture agreements Premises lease agreements Business-related supplier agreements (as required) Other Responsibilities: Conducting legal research and preparing advice on various issues both nationally and internationally Maintaining records of material agreements Reporting legal risks in a timely manner Advising on legal developments and their impact Supporting project teams with legal advice on claims, disputes, and debt recovery Assist with other legal matters as required Qualifications Holds a current Australian Legal Practice Certificate 2+ years PQE Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities A proactive and collaborative approach to work Demonstration of commercial acumen Ideally, some knowledge or interest in built environment projects Excellent analytical, research, and problem-solving skills Commitment to ethical conduct and professional integrity Additional Information Our team enjoys a wide range of benefits to support their development and well-being: 16 weeks paid parental leave for both primary and secondary carers.
