Job description
We are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our legal team in Helsinki, Finland. The scope of this role is wide, but the key responsibilities include supporting our commercial teams from a legal perspective as well as providing daily legal advice to other teams. In this role, you will have a chance to cooperate closely with our US operations, and potentially also spend some time at our US office in the future. Your work will be both external and internal facing – you will act as trusted advisor for internal stakeholders in a diverse range of areas, as well as conduct contract negotiations with customers and vendors. In this role you will report to Hoxhunt’s General Counsel.
We hope you have certain experience from commercial contracts, but the most important characteristics for this job are high motivation, proactivity and willingness to learn new things.
This position is full-time with the possibility of hybrid work. The monthly salary range for this position is approximately 4500-5000€.

Legal Counsel role includes

  • Drafting and negotiating contracts with customers, vendors, and partners
  • Answering questions around data privacy
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for colleagues seeking legal advice
  • Conducting ad-hoc legal research to answer questions faced in our daily operations
  • Contributing to the development of our legal practices and the team’s way of working
  • Following and understanding regulatory developments related to our business

To succeed in this position, you have

  • Master of Laws degree or other appropriate qualification
  • 1-3 years of relevant working experience either during studies or after graduation
  • Fluent English (written and verbal), ability to work in Finnish or in German is considered a plus
  • Certain experience regarding commercial negotiations
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive approach and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Willingness to dive into new areas where required, take ownership and drive things
  • Flexibility to support our teams in other countries, sometimes also outside of typical office hours
