This pay rate is inclusive of mandatory 25% casual loading
Reporting to the Director, Business Services, you will have significant experience in a broad range of legal matters, including executive legal advice and a solid understanding of the Victorian Government legal requirements and act as a trusted advisor in all legal matters, as well as provide front end transaction legal support. You will ensure strategic alignment and compliance with policies, processes and systems in a range of areas including, governance, compliance, contract development and negotiations; case management and implementation of legal policies and processes.
Suitable candidates will have a strong understanding and skills in the principles and practice of commercial law including (but not limited to), advising across a broad range of general commercial contracting and dispute resolution. You will have experience in drafting and negotiating commercial documents including services and goods contracts, IP Licences, MOUs, and general commercial agreements/deeds. Ideally you will have a strong understanding of Victorian Government procurement processes and documents, IP law, and privacy and data protection laws of Australia and Victoria.
