THE OPPORTUNITY

We are looking for a motivated Legal Counsel due to the sustained exponential growth of the business. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will support the business by drafting and reviewing contracts, supporting compliance with relevant laws, preparing regulatory documentation, and assisting with the requirements of being a listed entity.
This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent time-management and communication skills, and the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment. Soild experience with HighQ or the rapid ability to attain that knowledge and experience is highly sought. The Legal Counsel will work closely with the Head of Legal and other members of the senior leadership team.

Responsibilities
  • Contract drafting and review across a wide range of areas and regions including procurement, operations and property leasing.
  • Supporting corporate transactions and commercial matters. This will include preparation and review of documents for mergers and acquisitions, and commercial and operational contracts.
  • Proactively identifying legal risks to the business, and developing controls, strategies, and solutions to mitigate those risks.
  • Manage the business’ contracts management system (High Q) ensuring all contracts are approved in accordance with the company policy and are entered correctly into the system.
  • Providing timely and commercial day-to-day generalist legal advice on a variety of legal risk areas and business projects.
  • Assisting with regulatory investigations, disputes and employment matters.
  • Maintaining the business’ ASIC registers and lodging ASIC forms as required from time to time.
