Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a talented Commercial Legal Counsel to join our Legal & Risk team, providing expert legal advice and support across the LGC Group, with a particular focus on the LGC Standards business unit. This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys variety, and wants to work on projects that make a real impact across the organisation!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide commercial legal support across the LGC Group, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of customer and supplier agreements.
  • Offer advice on disputes, intellectual property matters, and general legal queries.
  • Build strong working relationships and act as the primary legal adviser to nominated business areas.
  • Collaborate with the Legal Business Partner for LGC Standards to support all legal, compliance, and risk matters.
  • Support the development of contract templates and manage workflows through our contract management platform.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects within the Legal & Risk team, including the adoption of legal technology and AI tools.
