At PwC, our Contracting Center of Excellence (CCOE), a pillar of the Office of the General Counsel, is tasked with supporting the creation of procurement and client contracts on behalf of the firm. Our team is committed to driving successful business outcomes by delivering effective and strategic advice around contract creation, negotiation, and interpretation. We collaborate with engagement teams, Line of Service Risk Management, the One Firm Risk organization and subject matter experts to effectively address the contracting requirements of the firm.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting the Firm’s contracting requirements; in areas such as, advisory, audit and assurance, deals, and tax services, information technology, intellectual property, privacy, cybersecurity and policy development
  • Supporting or leading in Canadian negotiations for multi-territory and/or global contracts for all lines of service
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating contracts including: master services agreements, global master framework agreements, managed services agreements, service agreements, engagement letters, licenses, secondment agreements, teaming agreements, and subcontracts. Conducts negotiations in the context of long-term business relationships which maximize the financial position of the firm while mitigating contractual and legal risks
  • Articulating legal principles and advice to all levels of the business
  • Using technical skills, together with experience, to ensure that all solutions are practical, commercially viable and comply with the firm’s standards policies and practices
  • Interpreting and providing guidance on Network Policies.
  • Monitoring new and pending legislation to stay at the forefront of legal and business developments and assesses legal impact to the Firm
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on legal matters relating to new service/product offerings and regulatory compliance
  • Managing and working with external legal counsel as appropriate
  • Providing daily legal support to the business units by responding to inquiries regarding contractual interpretation and compliance matter
