About the Team The OKX Legal Team partners with all elements of the Business to provide legal guidance and help them achieve their goals. The Australian Legal Team primarily supports OKX in Australia, where OKX operates local entities and holds an Australian Financial Services Licence, and also leads select global initiatives. About the Opportunity This is a rare opportunity to join a world leader in digital assets, that is both one of the most established firms in the industry and still one of the fastest growing. The Associate General Counsel will be a junior to mid-senior Australian lawyer (2-7 years PQE, but this is not a strict requirement), reporting to our Deputy General Counsel who leads a high-performing Legal Team in Australia and select global projects. They will join a team of two Australian qualified lawyers supported by a large global team, with a local Sydney office of around 30 local staff. What You’ll Be Doing Advising on digital currency products in the context of Australian law Advising on marketing & growth campaigns and initiatives Reviewing contracts with key counterparts in the digital asset and traditional finance industry Conducting legal research relating to the regulation of digital assets in Australia Contributing to the development of legislation relating to the Australian digital asset industry Working closely with OKX Australia's Legal Team and Business, along with OKX's global functions Supporting frequent interactions with top tier outside counsel Providing general legal advice relating to operating an Australian fintech company What We Look For in You An unrestricted Australian practising certificate A junior to mid-senior Australian lawyer (2-7 years PQE, but this is not a strict requirement) High integrity, intelligence, energy and friendliness All relevant legal backgrounds will be considered, so long as the candidate has the ability to pick up new subject matters quickly Strong academic track record An early track record of excellent results in law OKX is an equal employment opportunity employer, and encourages all people from all diverse backgrounds to apply. #LI-SM1 #LI-HYBRID Information collected and processed as part of the recruitment process of any job application you choose to submit is subject to OKX's Candidate Privacy Notice.
