• To work closely with management and internal teams to provide practical and strategic legal advice on:
• mergers and acquisitions (both in Singapore and internationally),
• corporate deal documentation and financing transactions (bank debt and/or bonds, shareholder loans);
• general commercial contracts, and
• other relevant functional areas related to the company’s businesses, including procurement, information technology, intellectual property, logistics, insurance, legal risk management, human resource and corporate governance.
• Recognized law degree and professional qualifications in a common law jurisdiction, being called to the Singapore Bar would be an advantage.
• 5 to 8 years’ PQE, preferably with some experience in a law firm and in an in-house role.
• Ability to multitask and concurrently manage legal aspects of multiple substantial projects and/or matters.
• Corporate transactional background (M&A, IT and/or corporate finance) and experience in multi-jurisdictional projects would be an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to be sensitive to, and take into account, relevant commercial, strategic and/or legal risk management considerations and render mature legal advice and guidance.
• Ability to work independently and to be an effective team player.
• Flexible and adaptable; willing and able to travel for projects as required.
