We are offering an exciting opportunity in Washington, District of Columbia for a Legal Counsel who will play a crucial role in our team. This role is essential in our legal affairs, particularly in areas such as Medicaid Regulation, Medicare, Policy, and Litigation. The position involves dealing with legal matters, ensuring compliance with Medicare and Medicaid regulations, and actively participating in litigation processes.

• Address and resolve legal issues, offering advice and guidance on legal matters
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes and updates
• Handle Medicare related legal matters, providing expert advice and solutions
• Participate actively in litigation processes, offering expert advice and representation
• Develop and implement legal policies to protect the organization and ensure legal compliance
• Act as a liaison between the organization and external legal entities
• Review and draft legal documents and contracts, ensuring they are accurate, comprehensive, and legally sound
• Conduct legal research and analysis to support decision-making processes
• Provide training to the organization on legal matters, especially on Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
• Must have a strong understanding and experience with Medicaid Regulation
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare is required
• Capability to handle policy-related tasks efficiently is essential
• Prior litigation experience is necessary
