You bring to Applaudo the following competencies: Bachelor’s degree in Law; being a Certified Attorney and Notary is a must. 5+ years of proven experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts with US and LATAM clients. In-depth knowledge of contract law, compliance frameworks, and risk management principles in the US and LATAM region. Proven experience managing NDAs, MSAs, SOWs, and Change Orders within a commercial risk management structure. Demonstrated ability to navigate client dynamics, build credibility with counterpart counsel, and deliver legally sound, business-oriented solutions under tight timelines. Proficiency using legal technology tools, including AI-based contract review systems, CLM platforms, and document automation software. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to identify legal risks and propose strategic, business-oriented solutions. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to clearly explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders (Sales, Customer Success, Operations). Demonstrated collaboration skills working with cross-functional teams including Finance, Operations, and Sales. Ability to adapt in a tech-driven, fast-paced, and compliance-oriented environment. Full professional proficiency in English and Spanish. You will be accountable for the following responsibilities: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts with clients across the US and LATAM region. Serve as the primary legal liaison to clients' legal departments, ensuring seamless communication, efficient contract negotiations, fostering trust and long-term strategic relationships. Ensure risk management compliance through consistent use of the company’s RACI and Commercial Risk Matrix. Manage the Legal Affairs ticketing system, meeting all internal SLA and compliance standards. Provide strategic day-to-day legal advice to Sales and Customer Success Managers (CSMs). Maintain and improve the company’s contract management system, ensuring agility, automation, and full compliance. Leverage AI and legal tech to drive efficiency, compliance, and process innovation across all legal workflows. Collaborate with Finance and Operations teams on KYC validation, payment terms, and negotiation implications. Maintain an average SLA of 3 days or less for contract drafting and reviews (MSAs/SOWs).
