Permanent Opportunity We are seeking a motivated and experienced Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel to join the Legal, Risk and Compliance team! Legal Counsel/Senior Legal Counsel will be responsible for providing sound, commercially pragmatic and timely legal advice in relation to legal aspects of Greenstone’s business lines and commercial arrangements. Reporting into the Head of Legal, they will work closely with the broader senior management team on a wide variety of legal matters. Their demonstrated experience to negotiate, review and advise on proposed transactions, corporate agreements, intellectual property, governance, compliance and risk matters, privacy and competition and consumer law is essential to this role. What are we looking for? Tertiary qualifications in law, admitted to practice in NSW with at least 5-8 years' post-admission experience Financial services experience, with experience in the insurance industry (GI and/or Life) preferable Sound understanding of the regulatory landscape and industry developments Ability to provide commercial legal advice to assist internal stakeholders to achieve the strategic and operational objectives of the business and its partners Excellent time and stakeholder management, with ownership of deadlines and the ability to manage both priorities and stakeholder expectations Autonomous, positive and strong work ethic Confident written and verbal communication and relationship building skills, with an ability to explain complex legal issues in concise and plain language at all levels within and outside of the organisation Our Promise to Our People Benefits We are passionate about our core values of Customer First, We Care, One Team, and Results Driven, which define how we approach our work.
