Description
SD Worx is a leading European provider of Payroll & HR services with global reach. Our +10,000 employees operate across Europe and in Mauritius. Our goal? We bring people solutions to life. So companies of any size can turn Human Resources into a source of value for the business and the people in it. As SD Worx continues to grow and evolve, we are looking for a Legal Counsel to join our team in Italy for a temporary assignment of 1 year. This role will support the business during a period of transition and integration, acting as a legal business partner to the Italian organization and collaborating closely with our broader European legal team. What will you be doing? • Provide pragmatic and proactive legal advice to internal stakeholders in Italy on a variety of legal matters. • Support day-to-day legal operations, including reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts (e.g. customer agreements, supplier agreements, general terms and conditions). • Assist in legal aspects of post-merger integration (PMI) activities, ensuring smooth alignment with group policies and practices. • Monitor and advise on local legal developments relevant to the business. • Collaborate with the broader SD Worx legal team across Europe to ensure consistency and integration. • Contribute to the development and implementation of legal templates, guidelines, and best practices. • Support the handling of claims and liaise with external counsel when needed. What do you need for this role? • A Master’s degree in Italian law. • Minimum 3 years of experience as an attorney or in-house legal counsel, preferably in commercial law, contract law, and/or IT law. • Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written). • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with a business-oriented mindset. • Ability to work independently while being a collaborative team player. • A proactive, hands-on attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality work. • Willingness to work from our Milan office, with the flexibility to work remotely 2 days per week. What do we offer you? • A competitive salary and benefits package. • The opportunity to contribute to strategic legal work in a dynamic, international environment. • Integration into a warm, collaborative legal team that spans multiple countries. • A culture that values ownership, initiative, and continuous learning. • Hybrid working model with flexibility to support work-life balance. From many places, we work as one — moving from better to best together.
