YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate:

  • Holds a Master of Laws (cand.jur.)
  • Has at least 2 and ideally 4-5 years of experience from a law firm
  • Has an interest in, passion for and some experience within either transport law or international commercial contracts.
  • Is able to work independently as well as being a team player.
  • Has good interpersonal skills, a high level of integrity, drive, and a positive, proactive, and determined approach to the work and the people around you.
  • Is able to communicate with stakeholders at all levels in our organization in a clear and concise manner in both Danish and English.
  • Experience from the transport industry or with maritime and transport law is a plus but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Legal Counsel to join Group Legal.

Your key responsibilities as our new colleague will include:

  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a diverse array of domestic and international logistics and transport-related commercial contracts. This includes key customer contracts, project logistics agreements, agency agreements, 3PL agreements, commercial lease agreements, and warehouse services agreements.
  • Handling transport-related claims and disputes.
  • Supporting the business in various day-to-day legal matters, including advising on transport/shipping law and dispute resolution.
  • Drafting, maintaining, and implementing standard contracts, with a focus on international transport agreements.
  • Developing and facilitating training programs across the organization.

Your work will be carried out in close cooperation with the rest of the dynamic NTG Group Legal department of 8 FTEs. Further, you will have a unique opportunity to expand your non-legal skills and knowledge through interaction with colleagues with different nationalities and professional backgrounds. In the position you will have exposure to key executive, administrative, and commercial functions in NTG.
You will report to the Group General Counsel. Willingness to travel around 10-15 days a year will be required.
