YOUR PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in law from a reputable university.
  • Been admitted to the bar of a commonwealth jurisdiction (e.g., Singapore, UK, Malaysia etc.).
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in a reputable law firm or as an in-house counsel, preferably in a financial institution or payments company.
  • Strong understanding of payments, contract law, data protection, and financial services regulatory compliance.
  • Ability to assess and conceptualize business and legal concerns in new areas of law and fintech.
  • Excellent drafting skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster and maintain solid working relationships across all functions and seniority.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment and to prioritise and manage multiple work streams.
  • Experience in working independently while remaining highly accountable to all stakeholders.
  • Good commercial sense with a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to solving problems.
  • Experience supporting expansion initiatives such as licensing, M&A and partnerships in South East Asia and/or Asia Pacific.
