Description:

JOB SUMMARY:

The HRIS and Payroll Specialist plays a critical role in supporting all HRIS and Payroll operations. Duties will include data entry and validation, troubleshooting system issues, generating reports, auditing and overall system maintenance. With strong analytical skills and attention to detail, you contribute to the efficient and effective management of HRIS and Payroll functions within the organization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (i.e. Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration) from an accredited institution, and/or equivalent work experience.
At least 1+ years’ experience in a similar role with analytical and administrative capacity.
Strong preference for experience with Dayforce.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work quickly while maintaining accuracy.
Attention to detail and good judgment.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities:

HRIS Maintenance: Assist in maintaining the HRIS system (Dayforce) including data entry, updates, imports and audits.
Data Validation: Ensure accuracy and integrity of data within the HRIS system by performing regular audits and validations.
System Upgrades and Implementations: Assist in the testing and implementation of HRIS upgrades, patches, and new features.
Onboarding and System Entry: Support the onboarding process for new hires, including entering their information into the HRIS system to ensure a smooth and accurate transition into the organization.
User Access Management: Manage user access and permissions within the HRIS system.
Time and Attendance Support: Support the management of time and attendance data, ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Payroll Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, such as deductions, earnings, and leave balances.
Garnishments and Tax Forms Processing: Assist in processing garnishments, direct deposit forms, federal and state tax forms, status changes, and handling tax notices.
Payroll Processing Support: Acquire in-depth knowledge of payroll processing and manual check procedures to effectively serve as a backup for the HRIS/Payroll Manager when required.
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring: Stay informed of all federal, state, and local payroll law changes to ensure compliance. Advise the management team on necessary actions to adapt to new regulations and maintain compliance.
Collaboration: Work closely with the HRIS and Payroll Manager and other HR team members to support overall HRIS and Payroll operations.
Confidentiality and Data Protection: Protect the business and maintain trust by safeguarding sensitive information. Ensure confidentiality of all payroll and HR data, adhering to data protection policies and protocols.
