Description
The Legal Intern will assist with legal research and writing, filings and corporate record keeping, and may also assist legal department in public policy advocacy. Responsibilities & Duties: Preparing and maintaining corporate records, maintaining corporate minute books, assisting in drafting corporate minute meetings; Assisting in the review of due diligence materials for mergers and acquisitions and commercial transactions; Drafting supporting documentation for legal transactions; Assisting in drafting of pleadings, briefs, demand letters, and other legal correspondence; Researching legal questions and drafting legal memoranda; Researching and drafting policy advocacy documents; Researching and drafting materials for public education; Assisting legal team members in company-wide initiatives (sustainability, knowledge management, etc); and general legal research and compiling of legal information Job Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree, and in the process of completing a Juris Doctor (JD) degree; Excellent research, writing, analytical and communication skills; The highest levels of initiative, creativity, and good judgment; Well-organized, self-directed and able to complete multiple tasks in a timely and efficient manner; Compensation: $21/hr READY TO JOIN A ROCK-SOLID FAMILY?
