Description As a Legal Intern at Fervo Energy, you’ll be a hands-on contributor to a small, high-performing legal team at the forefront of the clean energy transition. You’ll partner directly with attorneys and cross-functional teams, gaining real-world experience with the legal and regulatory issues that shape geothermal development. This role offers a unique opportunity to dive into cutting-edge questions in energy law, support meaningful projects, and help accelerate the deployment of next-generation clean energy solutions. Requirements Responsibilities Conduct legal research on regulatory regimes, environmental policy, and project finance structures. Draft, review, and organize contracts, memoranda, and other legal documents. Support compliance programs and help track evolving legal requirements. Contribute to improving internal processes, developing templates, and strengthening legal workflows. Collaborate with teams across the company to help address legal issues related to development, operations, and corporate initiatives. Qualifications Currently a 1L student at an ABA-accredited law school 3.5 GPA or higher Demonstrated interest in renewable energy, environmental law, energy policy, or corporate law Strong research, writing, and communication abilities Exceptional attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Location Fervo Energy is headquartered in Houston, TX. Other office locations include Oakland, Reno, Golden, and Salt Lake City.
