Description The Legal Justice Coordinator will play a critical role in supporting the legal needs of residents within our domestic violence shelter. This position requires a compassionate and proactive individual with expertise in family law, domestic violence advocacy, and legal support. The Legal Justice Coordinator will assist survivors in understanding their rights, navigating the legal system, and accessing the resources they need to achieve legal protections, such as restraining orders, custody arrangements, and divorce proceedings. This role will collaborate closely with legal professionals, local law enforcement, community partners, and shelter staff to ensure residents receive comprehensive, trauma-informed legal support. Please view our job description: Legal Justice Coordinator Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in social or human services or combination of education and experience from which comparable skills and knowledge are acquired. Legal or law enforcement background is preferred. Experience in family law, domestic violence advocacy, or legal support services is highly preferred. A highly motivated and responsible individual with the ability to relate to a wide variety of people in a nonjudgmental, positive and competent manner. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
