Description
Overview The Legal Manager - Indonesia, will be assigned with partnering with all business units to draft and review legal documents, advise on local laws, and guide users on PepsiCo policies. This involves not only preparing agreements and contracts tailored for different departments but also continuously updating them as regulations evolve. The legal expert will liaise with cross-functional teams, ensuring their activities are legally sound and compliant. They may also conduct regular policy briefings and workshops to clarify regulatory changes and internal guidelines. Responsibilities What you will be responsible for: Provide legal advice on various legal matters relating to relevant commercial activities, procurement, environment protection, product quality, consumer protection, food safety and sustainability. Provide legal support in drafting, negotiating, reviewing and approving relevant contracts required during ordinary course of business. Be responsible for licenses and permits required for company’s investment project including investment licenses, operational licenses and permits. Assist Legal Counsel in delivering business projects and other legal matters where required. Legal trainings and legal update. Develop legal related templates, support simplification. Legal review and development of SOPs, guidelines, work instruction. Assist Legal Counsel in engaging outside lawyers in an efficient and cost-effective basis in conjunction with company policies and guidelines. Monitor and assess local regulatory developments and enforcement trends. Provide legal advice on Personal Data Protection laws and regulations. Be a focal point to provide legal guidance on trademark and other Intellectual Properties usage in the market. Monotor new laws and regulations together with changes of the current laws and regulations. Qualifications What you will need to have: 5-7 years of relevant contract experience; lawyer license and notarial service attorney certificate is a plus Having broad knowledge and understanding of laws applicable to company’s business, particularly in area of corporate, commercial, FCPA, data privacy and anti-trust laws In-house experience with a major international company or law firm, having experience is FMCG business is a plus Superior analytical ability and meticulous attention to detail A comprehensive understanding of contract law and superior drafting and negotiation skills; Proactive process and continuous improvement orientation, particularly on legal process and forms harmonization Excellent knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office suite Prefer if having experience on IP or Trademarks review/ control Excellent in managerial, communication and people skill. Strong business acumen and ability to think strategically and exercise sound judgment legal solution Comprehensive understanding and ability to complex matters and work as business partner to support business strategy and goal Ability analyze regulatory and commercial requirement, assess and manage legal riks and provide practical solutions, recommendation to the business Strong sense of ownership and ability to analyze or recognize gap or area of improvement on work process beyond boundary of legal function responsibility
