REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; LLM or international legal qualification is an advantage.
  • 8–10 years of post-qualification experience, preferably within retail, FMCG, or distribution businesses.
  • Strong expertise in agency/distributor contracts and commercial agreements.
  • International contracts experience is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with UAE laws and regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent drafting, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage diverse stakeholders.
  • Currently based in UAE with regional or international experience.

    Pay: AED22,000.00 - AED24,000.00 per month

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE:

Our client, a leading Furniture Manufacturing company, is looking to hire an experienced Legal Manager to manage its legal and compliance function. The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of experience in retail, FMCG, or distribution businesses, with proven expertise in agency/distributor agreements and commercial contracts. International exposure in handling cross-border contracts is highly preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements including agency, distributor, supplier, vendor, and service contracts.
  • Provide legal guidance to management on day-to-day operations, new ventures, and expansion plans.
  • Support international business transactions, ensuring compliance with foreign jurisdiction requirements.
  • Manage compliance, risk assessment, and regulatory matters relevant to the retail/manufacturing industry.
  • Liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and cross-border matters when required.
  • Advise on employment law, intellectual property, and data protection issues.
  • Develop internal legal policies and ensure consistent implementation across departments.
  • Assist in corporate governance, board resolutions, and company secretarial duties.
