FLOAT RECEPTIONIST – LEGAL SERVICES

Based in Yeovil or Taunton (with travel to other offices)
Full-Time | Permanent
An established and award-winning regional law firm with offices across Somerset, Dorset, and Devon is seeking a proactive and professional Float Receptionist to join their Client Services Team. This full-time role is based out of either the Yeovil or Taunton office and involves providing flexible reception cover across the firm’s network of offices.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering high standards of client care and front-of-house service within a supportive and respected legal environment.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional manner with the ability to deal sensitively and efficiently with a wide range of people
  • Solid IT skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Previous experience in a reception or administrative support role, ideally within a legal or professional services setting
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work effectively under pressure
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential, due to travel requirements)
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the smooth running of client-facing operations across multiple offices, ensuring a consistently professional and welcoming environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide a friendly, professional welcome to all clients and visitors, ensuring prompt notification to relevant team members
  • Answer incoming calls efficiently and redirect them appropriately, maintaining high standards of client service
  • Maintain reception and client waiting areas in a clean, safe and professional condition
  • Accurately record and deliver messages and information
  • Handle incoming and outgoing post, banking tasks, and client payments as required
  • Support administrative functions including stationery orders, file archiving, and diary coordination
  • Promote and maintain confidentiality in all dealings in line with data protection regulations
  • Uphold the firm’s reputation and promote awareness of its full range of services
