Purpose of Job Jobholders at this level carry out specific tasks independently but are subject to close supervision. They research, collect and analyze information, draft reports and documents, participate in specific meetings and develop their own professional expertise. They undertake simple operational activities including preparing and studying simple case files and updating the section’s information and data.Job Resposiblites Stay up to date with all customs laws and regulations through research and legal advice Request required documents/ data from relevant stakeholders within specified period to prepare and study case files Prepare case files and ensure data entered are complete and error free to guarantee in-depth revision of file Correct errors of data entered into the case files based on information available Study accurately and objectively case files arising out of fines imposed by ZATCA on plaintiff highlighting reasons behind imposition of fines and provide Committees with legal studies in a timely manner Study accurately and objectively case files arising out of customs assessment imposed by ZATCA on plaintiff highlighting reasons behind due tax ratio from a legal standpoint and provide Committees with studies in a timely manner Prepare accurate legal studies for consultation requests made by members of 1st Instance Committees during deliberation Develop customs’ legal opinion on various subjects and issues related to applicable laws and regulations Perform generic and specialized legal studies related to 1st Instance as requested and submit reports accordingly Job Details Develop accurate and timely periodical and customized reports for Section and submit to management Document and update the section’s information and data periodically in its relevant databaseReport issues to management and develop action plans providing recommendations for effective resolution/ improvement- Follow all relevant policies, processes and standard operating procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner Help in solving escalated problems and provide needed support for junior team to ensure work is carried out in an efficient manner Escalate complex problems to the relevant person to ensure cases/issues are closed properly Communication and Contacs Education Bachelor’s degree in Law, or equivalent is requiredExperience A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience Competencies Collaboration and Communication - DevelopingCustomer Focus - DevelopingData Gathering and Assessment - DevelopingEnablement of Change and Innovation - DevelopingLegal Advisory - DevelopingLegal Writing and Policy Drafting - DevelopingLegislations and Regulations - DevelopingProfessionalism - DevelopingResearch and Analysis - DevelopingResults Oriented - DevelopingStakeholder Management - Developing
